Janice Groves is a Certified Business Analyst through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Gulf Coast University. Her responsibilities include facilitating the Rural Entrepreneurship through Advanced Learning (REAL) program, one-on-one counseling, facilitating workshops and seminars and helping small business clients in LaBelle, Glades County and Immokalee.
Her past experience with the Hendry County Economic Development Council and the Greater LaBelle Chamber of Commerce brings a plethora of knowledge and resources to the Small Business Development Center and REAL programs.
Janice is active in her community. She participates, and is past secretary, on the Board of Directors for the Education Center of Southwest Florida, an organization dedicated to meeting non-traditional educational needs to people in SWFL. As past chair, for 12 years, she remains on the board of directors for the Firehouse Cultural Center in LaBelle. In 2006 she was instrumental in developing the Leadership Hendry & Glades Counties program, dedicated to providing a unique learning experience to up and coming community leaders, where she currently sits on the board as President.
Past affiliations include board activity on Florida Economic Development Council, Enterprise Florida's Stakeholder's Council, Florida's Heartland REDI, and southwest Florida Regional Planning Council where she is a past Chair.
