Neil Shnider, RPh, BS/BA, MBA, CPA (OH, FL)

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, The Ohio State University; Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Capital University, Columbus, OH; BS/BA, The Ohio State University, Max Fisher College of Business, with a major in Accounting. Neil is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Ohio and Florida and has an active CPA practice specializing in small business.

Neil has 27 years of small business entrepreneur experience, in addition to his formal education. Neil Shnider's experience in the workplace and the educational environment provides him with unique talents and knowledge to share. Neil has participated in many seminars and lectures throughout Ohio instructing and facilitating in topics on Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Business Accounting, Business and Technology, Business Plan Development and Business Policy. Among his many skill sets, he has a great deal of expertise in understanding small business marketing, business startups and taxes for small business.

In 1969 Neil founded and was CEO and President, of a chain of Pharmacies and in 1980 he built, developed, owned, and was the managing partner of a chain of Medical Centers in Columbus, Ohio. Neil was the Director of the MBA Program at Capital University, Columbus, OH, and was an Adjunct Professor specializing in entrepreneurship/small business. Neil was also the Director of the Certified Business Analysts Program developed for the SBDC Certification Program for the State of Ohio, Ohio Department of Development. Neil Shnider has been awarded the Huntington Chair in Banking and Finance for the 1997-98 year and was a participant of the Harold Squire's Chair in Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

In the Graduate School of Administration at Capital University, as a Professor, he teaches Business Policy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship along with Computers for Business usage and Accounting in the Undergraduate and Adult Programs. Since 1997 Neil has developed and has been conducting seminars for the Ohio State Bar Association, both in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, on "Creating and Following a Business Plan".

Neil Currently teaches in the Graduate program at Ashland University, Ashland, OH and focuses on courses in small business such as:
  • Small Business Taxes
  • Small Business Management
  • Entrepreneurship (Business Plan Development)
  • Technology for Small Business (QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Cash Management and Finances for Small Business

Neil has been a speaker at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) State Conventions, The Ohio Library Council Seminar, Corporate Round Table, State of Ohio Law Continuing Education Credit (CLE Institute) and the Certified Business Analyst Program of the SBDC (CBA).

The SBDC at Florida Gulf Coast University is a member of the Florida SBDC Network, a statewide service network funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration.
