Peter L. Keating is a business entrepreneur who has not only started and operated several companies, but also has worked in more than a half dozen occupations.
He currently owns and operates a pharmaceutical and healthcare consulting company that manages new company entities and new corporate programs for many of the major pharmaceutical companies.
As a certified business analyst he is also counsels new and established businesses in Charlotte County for the Small Business Development Center located at the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce. The Center is part of Florida Gulf Coast University's College of Business in cooperation with the Small Business Administration, a Federal agency whose objective is to help small businesses throughout the U.S.
A brief overview of some of Mr. Keating's career includes his working as:
- Chief Executive Officer of International Product Link, Inc. - an international pharmaceutical distribution corporation
- Executive Vice President and Chief of Corporate Operations for an international Medical and Disaster Relief Company
- Vice President and General Manager for a New York City Advertising Company specializing in scientific and medical corporate clients
- Director, of International Public Affairs for a major pharmaceutical company in New York City
- Owner of a Construction Company specializing in masonry and stone work.
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain - Masters level - 50 ton certified with auxiliary sail and towing endorsements
- English Teacher on both the high school and college levels
Mr. Keating holds a bachelor of science degree from Seton Hall University in English and a master's degree from Columbia University in communications, journalism and media.
A resident of Punta Gorda, Florida, he and his wife, Patricia, have three grown children, all of whom are college graduates.
