SBDC Staffers Hailed at State Conference

Staff members of the Florida Gulf Coast University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) were recognized at the annual Florida Small Business Development Center Network (FLSBDC) conference held recently in Ft. Lauderdale.

Harry Looknanan Jr., certified business analyst for the SBDC, was selected as the Regional Certified Business Analyst of the Year. Janice Groves, certified business analyst, who covers Hendry and Glades County, was selected Regional Employee of the Year. Suzanne Specht, assistant director for the SBDC, was recognized for her 15 years of service.

In addition to the awards, the SBDC won best Mission Statement out of the 34 centers represented, utilizing the conference theme, Unmasking Business Potential. The staff also presented SBDC executive director Dan Regelski with a plaque thanking him for his leadership to the organization.
