Bank OZK Supports SWFL Small Businesses with Generous Contribution

  • News
  • July 18, 2025

Last Wednesday, July 16, the Florida SBDC at FGCU was honored by Bank OZK President of Commercial Banking, Jeremy Fioravanti, along with Business Banking Leader Ehren McGeehan and Business Banking Relationship Manager Gennadiy Berlyand, with the presentation of a $5,000 donation to support the center’s ongoing efforts to provide training services and opportunities to small businesses throughout its five-county region.

Florida SBDC at FGCU Regional Director Dorian Zwierewicz, Assistant Director Suzanne Specht, and Administrative Specialist Heather Ford graciously accepted the generous contribution on behalf of the organization.

Bank OZK, which has earned a strong reputation for community involvement and financial leadership across the Southeast, continues to demonstrate its commitment to economic development in Southwest Florida. With this donation, the bank reinforces its support for small business growth and local entrepreneurship; an investment that aligns with the SBDC’s mission to strengthen and sustain the region’s small business ecosystem.

This partnership between Bank OZK and the Florida SBDC at FGCU reflects a shared dedication to empowering business owners through accessible education, strategic guidance, and practical resources. The contribution will directly benefit local entrepreneurs and help expand the SBDC’s impact across the communities it serves.
