Books on Third Celebrates Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening

  • News
  • October 10, 2025

October 10, 2025 marked an exciting milestone for Naples’ newest independent bookstore, Books on Third, as founders Shan and Lindsay celebrated their official ribbon cutting ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and community supporters. The celebration continues with the grand opening on October 11, 2025, welcoming readers from across Southwest Florida to experience this beautiful new literary space on Third Street South.

From concept to grand opening, the Florida SBDC at FGCU has been honored to support Shan and Lindsay throughout their entrepreneurial journey. With guidance from Florida SBDC business consultant Angel Segura, the Books on Third team refined their business idea, developed a strong business plan, and brought their vision to life, transforming a shared love of literature into a thriving community space.

Books on Third is more than just a bookstore. It’s a welcoming environment designed to inspire meaningful connections and celebrate the joy of reading. With carefully curated book selections, thoughtfully designed spaces, and a passion for community, Shan and Lindsay have created a one-of-a-kind destination that embodies creativity, learning, and togetherness.

The Florida SBDC at FGCU team is proud to have been part of their story and celebrates this exciting new addition to the Naples business community.
